Skills and abilities

  • I am a hardworking and cheerful person eager to contribute to a private/charter yacht. I have been living in Italy since 2022 with a permanent residency, but I have no problem in moving to any place on earth. Seeking a deckhand/first mate position since I have many year experience in this role,, but eventually looking forward to doing all the courses and experiences needed to grow and improve my position onboard. I have clear and positive communication skills. I show respect to my fellow colleagues and chiefs, I always do my best to deliver what is expected in every task.
    Further Abilities
    Became a licensed dive master in 2015 +3000 dives. Confident and comfortable driving speed boat with license 34' feet under although I do know how to handle bigger vessels just do not have license for this size. For one of the companies I worked for we did off shore tours and charters on a daily base for many years, so I am very comfortable and knowledgeable about the high seas with an eye for what can go wrong in a heartbeat. I pay attention to my surroundings and see what can go wrong, so I always try to be one-step ahead and communicate with the team or guest.
    Soft skills
    I know communication is key with a good team, helping one another so we all succeed in any task. I am a happy easygoing person and like to share my knowledge and like to learn new things from others.
    Technical skills
    Maneuvering, docking, fueling, maintenance and watch keeping even paying attention to the weather, are things I have learnt over the years working on different vessels, in local waters or out on charters.
