Skills and abilities

• Maintain and complete accurately all logs (Engine room logbook, Oil Record Book, etc.)
  Routinely testing all alarms and safety equipment.
  Enforces safety practices and procedures and ensures employees receive appropriate safety training.
  Monitor and maintain propulsion system on economical and operational efficiency way.
  Prepare ship and manage internal and external audits, Flag State and Port State Control inspections and ensure that ship is complying with requirements of company safety management system.
  Identify and avoiding of oil pollution, damage and accidents.
  Manage watchkeeping of Engine Room routine under low number of crew.
  Responsible for safe and efficient engine room watch-keeping routine.
  Assess each engineer and ensure that the person is capable of keeping a watch.
  Supervise that all official entries into Engine Logbook and other documents are as per requirements.
  Monitoring safety and pollution prevention aspects.
