Skills and abilities

  • I'm Joshua born on 2nd December 1999 in Pietra Ligure, working as a Deck Officer with two years of experience in this position and one year of experience like deck cadet, I am looking for a job. I completed my schooling from Nautical school in Savona, and after that I continued my studies at Italian Maritime Accademy in Genoa. I started working like deck cadet on Corsica & Sardinia Ferries in 2019 while I was studying in Genoa. In October 2021 I became Third Officer and I continued to work with Corsica & Sardinia Ferries in this position. Like Third Officer, I used to mantain a watch on the bridge at sea, I also used to be responsible for passage planning, cargo loading, ship stability and etc. I was also responsible for making sure that all safety measurements are in order such as the fire fighting equipment and the lifeboats/liferafts. In May 2023, I decided to spent one year in the yachts industry specially to improve my english and other skills in tendering, equipment maintenance and anchoring. I am a driven and outgoing individual who prides myself on hard work and always strive to give my best. I posses instructive skills and respond well to constructive criticism. I have a thirst for knowledge and love to learn.I work well under pressure and I am seeking an opportunity gain experience and have a successful, rewarding career. Currently I am in Italy and I am ready and motivated to start a new experience.
