  • I would describe myself as a passionate, able and diligent employee and person who is constantly motivated to extend my experience into the fascinating industry of yachting and as I have now finished education it is my objective to get into the larger industry after having volunteered and worked as a sailing and kitesurfing instructor locally. I am a pragmatic and social employee who has always been happy working with other people and always try bring a positive and constructive outcome to those that I work with
    I started sailing when I was 11 years old and have been sailing ever since during the weekends. Two years ago I started helping out as a volunteer at my local sailing club (Lagoon Watersports at Brighton Marina) during the summer seasons to attain experience in the sailing industry. I have been involved in numerous roles such as being a mate on a Beneteau First 36.7 doing day charters around Brighton and the south coast and helped out on powerboat trips while also learning about the maintenance of engines and parts of the boats. This year I took the Day Skipper course, doing this has given me the ability to assertively skipper a small yacht; I now have a complete understanding of deck work, rope work and better knowledge of the sea, tides and navigation.
    I am capable of working efficiently in a stressful environment within a team, and have good communication skills
