I am a very peaceful and calm person, studying at my first year of university in Rome. I grew up sailing in the summers on my family's sailing boat, both with and without crew onboard. For the last six years I helped my father in managing all aspects of the boat, including sailing with strong winds and rough seas, docking into harbours, anchoring in tough conditions and I also did a lot of night shifts during long transfers. I can drive the tender and help for indoor duties. I feel comfortable and at ease at sea and love spending time onboard. I learned a lot from the crew we had for some years onboard our 50ft. vessel. I attended sailing courses for five years and participated in many regattas.
Although I never had a professional role, I would be very happy to be employed as part of a crew.
My interests, aside from sailing, are ski-racing, tennis, playing the piano and reading. I did fifteen years of competitive skiing, which taught me to withstand harsh-weather conditions. I'm friendly and smiley, although quiet and soft-spoken when required.
I care and appreciate the order and cleanness that are indispensable for life onboard. I am well aware of the dynamics of respect and sensibility that one must obey to when sharing tight spaces for long periods of time. I gained these qualities in twenty years of months-long cruises with family and friends. I have some basic cooking skills. I also have a driver's licence for cars and motorbikes.
I'm available to encounter the requirements of my employer, I'm a well adaptable person and will do my best to satisfy the needs in any situation.
In the past, I sailed in the Adriatic Sea, from Croatia through the Eastern coast of Italy, in the Tirrenian sea, in particular in the Tuscan archipelagos, all around Corsica, Sardinia and Sicily several times, in the Western coast of Italy, from Tuscany to Calabria and up to the Baleari islands.
I'm planning on obtaining my nautic licence next winter.
I am familiar with most technical components of a midsize yacht and with the procedures of sailing and docking manoeuvres. I am also willing to be of help in indoor duties, but most of all I would be extremely happy and open to learning from other members of the crew.
