I am an Italian male, born on 15 June 1964, 1,90 mt. tall, non-smoker, no tattoos, holding an Italian Captain license authorizing me to act as Captain aboard offshore sail-yachts and motor-yachts up to 200GT (Corresponding to the RYA YM Offshore with commercial endorsement) and as Officer or Chief Mate aboard sail-yachts and motor-yachts up to 500 GT, of with over 39 years of uninterrupted experience, an Italian merchant navy navigation logbook, valid biennial medical certificate (ENG1), and IMO-SCTW basic certificates plus Security Duties.
I have more than 4 decades of uninterrupted sailing experience, including charters along the entire North coast of the Mediterranean Sea, NW Malaysia and SW Thailand, also aboard charter catamarans sailing between Corsica and Sardinia.
I have also significant experience in charters and in driving a large variety of motor yachts, high performance tenders, chase boats, including performance tenders and motor yachts with IPS and jet propulsion.
I am a long-time diver with excellent skin-diving capabilities and a scuba diver holding a PADI Advanced Open Water certificate issued in 1996.
I am a native Italian speaker and I can also speak and write fluent English and French.
I have a significant experience in in looking after, managing and maintaining a yacht, with a good grasp of yachting law and I am familiar with administrative, operational and management practices related to the ownership, operation and maintenance of yachts, boats and water toys.
I am a cheerful, polite, discreet, dynamic, proactive respectful and with a tidy appearance. I am well educated person, always ready and happy to help and service and a clear communicator.
I am an enthusiastic character, a responsible and tireless worker, a friendly, easy-going personality and a motivator who loves sharing my passion for sailing and life at sea.
I am very familiar with the use of electronic navigation instruments and systems of the major brands and of devices as chart plotters, AIS, radars, echo-sounders, autopilots, VHS, GMDSS, etc.
I have a reinforced Super Green Pass with 3 doses of vaccine and have always been negative for COVID-19.
I am a holder of a DVLA issued driving license in categories A, B and B1 and a holder of a valid Italian (Schengen) biometric passport.
I am currently based in San Remo on the Italian riviera but I am willing and ready to relocate and/or to commute wherever required.
